What is a mothers night?
A mother's night is just what you think: a night when a mother goes out with her friends. Well, with all the fancy accessories and luxuries, that could cost a pretty penny, or it might not cost at all. The beauty of a mother's night out is that it can be whatever you want it to be. It can be small and intimate, or you can invite a large group of mothers from an organization like a MOPS (Mothers of Preschool-Age Children) group.
What should I do for my mother's night?
It really is up to you and I'll give you a full list of ideas for your night out later. Try to think of what each friend would like to do and what their goal is for the night. Do you want to help build a community with a group? Consider group activities like an escape room or high ropes course if you have one that's easily accessible. Would you like to kick back and relax? Maybe your night turns into a day at the spa, or you could host a spa party in the comfort of your own home. The sky really is the limit when it comes to hanging out with your girlfriends. This isn't rocket science, so don't overemphasize the planning process. Do you need ideas? I have 20 great ideas for your next mother's night below!

viewing party– Do you have a show that everyone loves? Why not get together to see it? If you have it on demand, you can always meet up or watch multiple episodes.

food preparation- Plan a menu for the week and get together to prepare everything. everyone goes home with their ownprepared mealsand ready to go.
Movie night– We all know that there are some movies that our families absolutely do not want to watch with us. Why not use this as a reason to get the girls together? Movie popcorn with your favorite beverage from the concession fountain and you've got something seriously sweet in there.
favourite things– You could really put any kind of cap on this idea, but what you want to do is have each person bring their favorite thing, one that everyone can take home. Depending on how many mommy friends you invite, things can get expensive quickly, so keep that in mind when planning. You can even give the night a theme: favorite book, favorite gift, etc.

Make a night stay in a hotel– Many bargain sites like Living Social andGrouponhave specials for local hotels; Book a one-night stay with two or three of your closest mom friends and split the cost of the one-night stay. Cena– If, like me, you live near a metropolitan area (Minneapolis or St. Paul), access to higher-rated restaurants is more readily available. Dress up a bit and head downtown for a fancy dinner with the girls. Order fun drinks, grab something from the menu that you wouldn't normally order. Live all this with a friend.
take you to the theater- Go to a function! This is easier if you live near a metropolitan area, but even if you don't, you can still track down some local acts. Have dinner before or drink after so you can discuss and chat a bit.
gastronomic tour– Take a culinary tour of your city! Taste delicious foods in your hometown. Apps in a restaurant, main course, dessert in different restaurants and then a drink in a fun bar.

How often should I try to do a mothers night?
I think at least four times a year. Ideally, you should do it once a month. Connecting with female friends is very important in helping you maintain your identity as a woman. We need that adult conversation; I don't know about you, but when I don't have it, my brain feels mushy. So I feel isolated, alone and not good. Spending time with my friends fills me up and makes me feel like myself again. I can focus on myself and have fun with my friends.
Whatever you decide to do with your mother's night, it's imperative that you make it happen. You'll have fun and you'll come back refreshed and ready to be the best mom ever.
